Orgosolo is famous for its Murals, a true open-air museum boasting over 100 mural paintings that attract tourists from around the world every year. Originality, vibrant colors, artist quotes, sometimes even in the Orgolese dialect—these are the hallmarks of Orgosolo’s Murals, serving as guardians of the town’s historical memory.
We offer you a different day to discover this unique place in the heart of wild Sardinia and take advantage of enjoying a typical outdoor lunch with shepherds, accompanied by traditional “Tenores” songs.
In the mountain sheepfolds, shepherds will prepare an outdoor lunch under the shade of ancient holm oak and juniper woods, surrounded by nature. The Sardinian menu, featuring cured meats, cheeses, boiled lamb with potatoes and roasted suckling pig, pane carasau, and ispianadas, will be complemented by robust local wine, Cannonau, known for its intense color and flavor. To conclude this hearty meal, savor a genuine and additive-free local spirit, Abbardente, with an alcohol content never below 50°—the perfect ending to a satisfying meal.
